Mission: The Paree Project
The Methodology
In a small rural community near Noida, Haryana, we are empowering women through skill-based training. Over six months, 25 women at a time are learning to sew reusable sanitary pads—creating both a sustainable livelihood and a movement for menstrual health and dignity.

Small steps create lasting change

1
Initial Survey
An analysis is conducted using a structured survey questionnaire and focus group discussions (FGD) in target communities. A Self-Help Group dedicated to producing eco-friendly cloth pads is formed.
2
Training
Trainers from the target rural community are recruited to train the Self Help Group members in sewing and producing eco-friendly cloth pads. In collaboration with Pinkishe Foundation, a 6-month intensive training program at a skill centre is initiated, focusing on the craftsmanship of reusable cloth pads.
3
Production
From the fourth month of training the trained women begin producing the cloth pads. The women aim to create a total of 1,000 sets by the end of this phase.
4
Distribution
Cloth pads are distributed alongside menstrual educational workshops. This phase not only aims at improving access to sanitary products, but also serves as an opportunity to educate the community on menstrual health.
